A lovely lemon-ice combined with fruit and sweet bubbles for a fun slush
- 4 cups water
- 3-1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cups lemon juice*
- 4 cups cold water
- 2 pkg frozen strawberries or raspberries
- 1 large can pineapple tidbits with juice
- 1 pkg frozen blueberries
- 6 firm bananas
- 6 oranges, sliced
- 7 UP or Sprite (about 3 liters)
- PLAN ahead by making the lemon ice a few days in advance.
- BRING the water and sugar to a boil and add the lemon juice and water.
- COOL a bit then freeze into two-one gallon size Ziploc bags.
- BREAK UP the lemon ice and put into a punch bowl.
- ADD fruit.
- STIR and soda to reach desired consistency–about 3 liters.
*If using real lemons, zest them before squeezing, and add the zest to the lemon ice mixture.
