Yield: About 5 Tablespoons (Enough to season 2 batches of tacos containing 1 pound of ground beef)
- 3 Tablespoons chili powder
- 1 Tablespoon cumin
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion flakes or onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ to ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
- COMBINE all ingredients
- STORE in closed container.
- USE 2 -1/2 Tablespoons per batch of 1 lb. ground beef tacos (season to taste)
Recipe Notes:
- The key is using a 3 to 1 ratio of chili powder to cumin and some salt. The other ingredients are a bonus. If you run out of mix or need to mix up some in a hurry, add 1 Tablespoon of chili powder to 1 teaspoon of cumin and some salt and you’re good to go!
